I’m sitting in The Bank hotel in Newtown right now. I have an hour to kill before some acting coaching and so I thought I’d blog a bit! The Bank Hotel is a bar/club that is a popular spot for the girls, in particular on Wednesday evenings when it’s wall to wall lesbians. A few months ago I played a guest character on the web series The Newtown Girls right where I’m sitting now! 6 years ago I came here a lot as a regular Wednesday night patron!
OMG has it really been that long?
I have grown up a lot since then. In fact the thought of spending my Wednesday night here now is horrible! I guess that’s a sign of old age.
Luckily at this time of night (6pm) it’s nice and quiet and I can sit and have a glass of wine without any hassles!!
So this Friday night I have my radio interview with Her Society! I’m freaking out! Its a phone interview and I’m terrible on the phone! The producer has said that the girls like to talk a lot so hopefully there won’t be any of those awkward silences! If you’re in Australia, listen in on Friday night!
Oh and I got my hair cut off yesterday! It’s short again and I love it! I was at a client today – a corporate client – and all I got was oh…you cut your hair!. I’m not sure if I should assume that means they don’t like it, or maybe its because it’s a corporate environment and a compliment could result in some sexual harassment case. But really why should I care? I like it! K loves it! That’s all that matters right?
